Throw Back Thursday! No those aren’t actual photographs of a wild Kodiak Bear. That is me not so long ago, on a crash course of human body destruction. I was eating whatever I wanted, and not tracking any of it. I was probably consuming upwards of 5000 calories a day, and getting basically no physical exercise. I felt bad, and playing with my kids was getting harder and harder. I dreaded getting up and having to move around. I truly believe the whole object in motion stays in motion thing. The next phase is I’m trying to look like a real #fitnessperson not just someone who doesn’t eat junk. It’s very difficult but even the smallest changes make a big difference. you end up craving less and less things after you’ve said no over and over again.
Everything is gradual, I think eventually I will want to eat what I want, and drink what I want, but Im trying to reserve that for special occasions. I find that 90% of all of this is mental. You’ve got to stop beating yourself up in your mind. The mind controls the body, and if your head is not in it, you will not achieve what you want. Keep Going!

happy thursday, my loves! it’s almost friday and that means pay day is vvv soon 🤑🕺🏼💰 but it’ll be going towards groceries, bills, ya know - adulting. also, i really get off track on fridays, then spiral from there. so my goal for the weekend is to stay on track and keep up with my fitness. for me, going to the gym is super easy — it’s eating healthy that’s hard. especially when you’re trying to be vegetarian. but rome wasn’t built in a day, so i can’t be hard on myself for screwing up five days in the month 🤷🏼♀️

I admit it! I am lazy at food prep. Most of my clients know I keep it very simple when it comes to the kitchen. My entire meal prep for the week takes under 30 minutes and my dinners are under 12 minutes. Here is dinner from last night:
* Tuna steak- seared and cut
* Pico de Gallo from hyvee (tomato, onion, garlic, cilantro)

I timed how long it took me and it was just over 5 minutes 🤗

•Lunch: whole foods meal with long chain omega 3 fatty acids like lots of veggies with grilled salmon or a salad with tuna
•Afternoon snack: another smoothie (our meal replacement shakes are made from grass-fed, hormone free undenatured whey so they still have live digestive enzymes aka probiotics to increase gut health and aid in digestion)
•Dinner: whole foods meal with my fam. No protocol just fill my plate with all the macros (lean protein, healthy fats and complex carbs) plus allowing for indulging when I feel like aka living
•Night cap: Aloe Vera rich cleanse tea with nourishing herbs and botanicals to combat bloat, improve insulin sensitivity and reduce visceral belly fat

I read a post a couple of weeks from an American trainer saying how he gets his clients results quickly and then teaches them how to keep it off.
My approach has always been the opposite; educate first and then get the results.
In a world where we want everything asap, I was curious how other people thought and I was surprised at the results. The majority of the people want to lose weight as fast as possible and can be genuinely unhappy with a weekly weight loss of 2 pounds... so this surprised me that people wanted to learn first.
A lot of people tend to make a lifestyle change and drop weight fast, reach their goal weight and then return to previous eating patterns (mostly junk). This can be because of 2 reasons - They trained for an event and just wanted to look good for it; such as a holiday or; they don't know how to maintain their results through lack of knowledge.
I'm going to try and combine the 2 principals together in an interactive online training plan (still deciding on 8 or 12 weeks). Knowledge 🤓 and fast results 👙. Who's with me?

I read a post a couple of weeks from an American trainer saying how he gets his clients results quickly and then teaches them how to keep it off. My approach has always been the opposite; educate first and then get the results. In a world where we want everything asap, I was curious how other people thought and I was surprised at the results. The majority of the people want to lose weight as fast as possible and can be genuinely unhappy with a weekly weight loss of 2 pounds... so this surprised me that people wanted to learn first. A lot of people tend to make a lifestyle change and drop weight fast, reach their goal weight and then return to previous eating patterns (mostly junk). This can be because of 2 reasons - They trained for an event and just wanted to look good for it; such as a holiday or; they don't know how to maintain their results through lack of knowledge. I'm going to try and combine the 2 principals together in an interactive online training plan (still deciding on 8 or 12 weeks). Knowledge 🤓 and fast results 👙. Who's with me?
